CARPATHIAN SCHOOL: NON-FORMAL EDUCATIONAL CENTRE ON THE WAY TO EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

Abstract

The International Carpathian School is a volunteer educational project launched in the foothills of the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains, Kosiv and Vyzhnytsya communities, Ukraine. The project is positioned as a centre for non-formal education to demonstrate the potential of the "third" mission of universities. The Carpathian School works effectively in the format of an educational cluster, coordinating the resources of CEE universities and the Caucasus with their counterpart from the Baltic States, The school tuition activity is set in a framework of Sustainable Development Goals-2030. Such an approach to civic education may accelerate the pace of achieving SDG-30 through gaining knowledge and establishing a dialogue among the participating countries.
